Geoffrey Scott

Geoffrey Scott grew up on the east coast of the U.S. living near Navy bases when his father was home based and in northern Maine whenever he wasn’t. Being the perennial new kid is no fun, but it trained Geoffrey to be a good observer (and fast runner).

Educated at the University of Maine and Michigan State University, Geoffrey has driven potato trucks, cut meat in a grocery store, taught high school history, and tended bar in a tourist town. He’s also been an education professor at the University at Buffalo and Binghamton University. Geoffrey has authored or edited seven academic books on the teaching of history under his real name S.G. Grant.

With an abiding interest in all things art, Maine, and crime, Geoffrey has written the first of a series of literary mysteries entitled, Stealing Homer: A Rascal Harbor Mystery.
